GREEK MYTHOLOGY Like most primitive civilizations, one of the Ancient Greeks' most important deities was the one that governed the sun, Apollo. As the favored son of the king of the Olympians, Apollo embodies nearly all of the attributes the Ancient Greeks prized: youth, beauty, physical and athletic prowess, and a commanding presence. Not only does mythology hold that he is charged with the daily progress of the sun through the sky, he is also a patron of oracles, physicians, archers, musicians, and artists. Since the decline of the ancient world, Apollo has, like most of his bretheren, remained in the shadows, observing the progress of humanity and occasionally taking on mortal guises to observe and sometimes even interfere with the turning of time. |
This version of Apollo is loosely based on most generally known versions of Greek mythology. I can play in action or prose, past or present tense, as needed. I'm not the fastest tagger, but will happily backtag a thread forever, so don't worry when RL gets in the way. Mun and muse are 21+ Apollo belongs to nobody, but Brad Pitt is his own person, and I lay claim to neither. |
